With the common goal of all Greek tourism operators to consolidate Greece in the top destinations, Thessaloniki Tourism Organization headed by its president and Deputy Regional Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mrs. Voula Patoulidou, in collaboration with the Region of Central Macedonia presented the destination to the British Market.
The “Greek Forces” of tourism in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Mr. Vassilis Kikilias and the General Secretary of GNTO Mr. Dimitris Fraggakis, created a common front to promote the country and its individual destinations in an exhibition where the agreements – collaborations, exceed 2 billion of pounds. It is pointed out that in 2019 more than 3,000,000 Britons traveled to Greece and during the difficult period of 2020 one million chose our country.
Greece’s agreement with the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Group on the sidelines of the exhibition is typical, securing an additional 600,000 new airline seats in Greek destinations, including Thessaloniki.
Travel agents from all over the world, journalists, travel bloggers and public opinion polls have shown particular interest in Thessaloniki by sending encouraging messages regarding the achievement of the main goals of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization’s participation in the World Travel Market 2021.
