Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, in collaboration with the GNTO office in Germany, hosted the six-member production team EuroArts Music based in Berlin, which in collaboration with the quality television station ARTE (WDR / Arte, NDR / Arte) will show the German television audience the traditional music of the country, its roots and influences in the contemporary artistic creation of Greece. The team visited Anogia, Athens, Arta and Thessaloniki.
The musical wealth of the country will be shown in the series Sound-Treck Europa: Griechenland starring the music producer Shantel (Stefan Hantel) who has Greek roots on his father’s side.In our city, the Assistant Professor of the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia, Mr. Socrates Sinopoulos presented with a group of students the history of the lyre and the roots of Greek music.The production team was hosted by Thessaloniki Tourism Organization for the needs of the shooting, from October 12 to 14 and left today from our city with the best musical impressions and more.
