The World Travel Market Virtual has been one of the most serious communication efforts of the global tourism market since the beginning of the pandemic, taking place online during November 9-11.
Thessaloniki Tourism Organisation, aiming to adapt to the new era and promote the destination “Thessaloniki”, participated in the virtual event, which was praised for the wide range of business meetings enabled and the quality of industry conference debates and sessions in collaboration with Greek National Tourism Organisation.
During the online meetings, representatives of Thessaloniki Tourism Organisation and the City of Thessaloniki highlighted the comparative advantages of the city and presented all the points of historical, cultural and tourist interest that make the second largest city in Greece an ideal destination.
The messages received from ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) were particularly positive as travel agents are looking for new destinations and Thessaloniki is a challenging destination.
