Thessaloniki Tourism Promoted to Polish Market

Info

Greece’s northern port city of Thessaloniki was promoted as a tourism destination to Polish travel agents and journalists during a fam trip organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Aegean and Thessaloniki Tourism Organisation earlier in October.

The GNTO service in Poland held the fam trip to promote Thessaloniki’s city break options, MICE venues and gastronomy culture.

During October 9-13, Thessaloniki hosted representatives of leading Polish tourism organizations and media including TUI Poland, Travelplanet, Wecotravel, Time4travel, Fly.pl, Esky.pl, Boomerang/Veniti, NEKERA, Rzeczpospolita, Gazeta and waszaturystyka.pl.

Thessaloniki is considered a major stopover for Polish tourists traveling to Halkidiki and its surrounding areas. It is worth noting that Poland has the 8th largest economy in the European Union with 38.5 million potential consumers and belongs to the countries with the fastest growing economic growth rates in Europe.
