Thessaloniki is home to numerous notable Byzantine monuments several Roman\, Ottoman and Israel structures. For 2013 National Geographic Magazine included Thessaloniki in its top tourist destinations worldwide\, while in 2014 Financial Times FDI magazine declared Thessaloniki as the best mid-sized European city of the future for human capital and lifestyle.\n\n\n\nThe International Contemporary Art Fair is organised in a city open to fresh ideas\, rejuvenated\, hospitable and safe\, offering up multicultural journeys\, unique elements of localisation and enjoyable gastronomic taste.\n\n\n\n5th ART THESSALONIKI INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 25-28 | 11 | 2021\n\n\nMore than 10\,000 art lovers from 22 countries visited the Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair every year.\n\n\nAt the opening of the 5th Art-Thessaloniki Fair\, the award-winning composer as the world best of the year Lina Tonia will premiere her new composition.\nThe honored artist will be the peer professor Yiannis Fokas and an honorary distinction will be given to the artist Dimitris Alithinos for his work and personality.\nIn addition to the participation of 30 galleries from Greece and abroad and 15 parallel projects\, the museum exhibition will be presented with works by internationally renowned artist Victor Vasarely in collaboration with the Museum of Drawing Skopje.\n\nThe Ethnographic Center of George Meliki will present the original installation\, K.P. Kavafi “REMEMBER BODY… the beds where you leaned”.\nSpecial tribute to the Greek revolution 1821-2021\, by the painter and pen of philhellene painters. Works by A. FRIEDEL\, P.V. HESS\, newspapers and letters 1821-1828.\nFor the 2nd time the Cultural Society of Entrepreneurs of Northern Greece in collaboration with Art-Thessaloniki Fair\, we have the “MATAROA” awards. We had 120 entries and 10 artists were selected who will present their work in individual stands.
