19th International Marathon Alexander the Great Marathon

The 19th International Marathon “MEGAS ALEXANDROS”- bwin will make Sunday, April 6, 2025, a magical day, offering moving moments to thousands of runners, visitors, and spectators along its race routes, which pass through the municipalities of Pella, Chalkidona, Delta, Kordelio-Evosmos, Ampelokipoi-Menemeni, and Thessaloniki, adding a special flair and sending multiple messages to the world!

This year, the Organizing Committee will focus its energy and 20 years of experience on providing race support to the runners during their effort, significantly enhancing the competitive aspect, the safety of runners and routes, and the music support points. These will be complemented by excellent refreshments and medical assistance, areas in which the International Marathon “MEGAS ALEXANDROS” is globally recognized, ranking 8th in the world in the overall evaluation among certified Marathons, as well as 4th best in safety according to the independent study by “THE SOLE SUPPLIER” (http://bit.ly/TopMarathons). This distinction was published, among others, on the reputable and globally recognized website “FORBES” (http://bit.ly/ATGM-Forbes), showcasing Central Macedonia and our country on a global stage.

Registrations for this year’s “Marathon of History” continue at an ever-increasing pace, with the Organizing Committee expecting to break the record for international participant registrations, as runners from abroad will honor the event, which also stands out for its significant athletic, cultural, social, tourism, economic, and of course, historical impact! The deadline for group registrations is Friday, March 7, 2025, while individual registrations must be completed by Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
