Carnival in the Municipality of Pylaia – Chortiatis

The Municipality of Pylea-Hortiatis, specifically the Deputy Mayor of Culture and Tourism, is organizing a week of children’s events for its youngest citizens, in celebration of the children’s holiday, the Carnival festivities.

From February 23rd to 28th, children’s events will take place in every municipal community. The municipal authorities invite young citizens and children from across the region to come play, dance, and have fun with animators, as well as enjoy fantastic puppet theater performances.

“Carnival has its own special meaning and symbolism for young children. It’s a celebration full of costumes, confetti, colors, and songs that our children eagerly look forward to every year. We are excited to welcome them to wear their costumes and come have fun with their friends at the events our municipality has prepared in all our communities!” said Ignatios Kaitezidis, Mayor of Pylea-Hortiatis and President of the Regional Association of Municipalities of Central Macedonia.

Schedule of children’s carnival events:

• HORTIATIS, Sunday 23/02 at 6:00 PM in the “Ioannis Manoledakis” hall: Puppet Theater.

• FILYRO, Monday 24/02 at 5:00 PM in the square opposite the Community building: Animators, face painting, and many surprises for the little ones.

• EXOHI, Tuesday 25/02 at 5:00 PM in the children’s playground square: Animators, face painting, and many surprises for the little ones.

• ASVESTOHORI, Wednesday 26/02 at 6:00 PM in the community hall of Asvestohori: Puppet Theater.

• PYLAIA, Thursday 27/02 at 6:00 PM at the entrance of the former Pylea Town Hall: Animators, face painting, and many surprises for the little ones.

• PANORAMA, Friday 28/02 at 6:00 PM in the “Litsa Fokidi” hall: Puppet Theater.
