International Museum Day 2026
The Folklore & Ethnological Museum of Macedonia – Thrace participates this year in the celebration of International Museum Day with the event:
“fairy tales unite us”
With a presentation of the book Fairy Tales from Edessa and its region, selected and recorded by Kaiti Tzoga – Vetta and illustrated by Ioannis A. Proios. A publication of the Philoproodos Association of Edessa “Alexander the Great” and the Municipal Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Edessa.
The book is discussed by: Kaiti Tzoga – Vetta, Aigli Brouskou, Sotiris Souloukos and Ioannis Proios.
Fairy tales are read by Rena Botsiou.
The discussion is moderated by Yiannis Hadjipegiou.
At the same time, an exhibition of visual works is presented
by Ioannis A. Proios
from the illustration of the publication
The event closes with dances from Edessa and its region by the dance department of the Philoproodos Association of Edessa “Alexander the Great”
