Free Art Workshops for Children at LEMM-TH

The Folklore and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia – Thrace (LEMM-TH), in the framework of the temporary exhibition of wooden handmade animated toys from the magical world of Kostas Voutsas, organizes three two-hour artistic workshops for children with the artist – toy maker Kostas Voutsas!

The creator will guide the children through the exhibition, taking them on a journey through his memories of his youth to the city of Thessaloniki in the 1960s and 1970s, revealing the sources of his inspiration and introducing them to the secrets of animating animated constructions, highlighting the imaginative correlation of classical engineering, carpentry and the expressive idioms of sketching and cartooning.

The children experiment, tinkering with their own animated toy, which they take away with them as a souvenir of their participation in the action!

For children from 7 years old and up
Participation is free of charge.

Craft materials will be provided by the Museum.

Due to the experiential nature of the workshop, the number of children taking part will be limited. Registration is by telephone and will be on a first come, first served basis.
