New Year’s in Thessaloniki

The Municipality of Thessaloniki has prepared a rich programme of festive events, culminating in the welcoming of the New Year at the White Tower on the evening of Wednesday, 31 December.

New Year’s Eve in Thessaloniki / Welcome 2026 will magically illuminate the city, with laser beams spreading a blue veil over Thessaloniki, shafts of light reaching into the sky, and the sounds of contemporary electronic music. Two leading international artists, along with the very best of Thessaloniki’s modern music scene, will take part in the celebration.

From 8:00 p.m., the area around the White Tower and the monument itself will begin to transform, and until 3:00 a.m. it will be the beating heart of New Year’s Thessaloniki.
