Programme of the 4th Thessaloniki Summer Festival 2023

The Municipality of Thessaloniki organizes the 4th Summer Festival at the Open Municipal Garden Theater and the Gardens of Nea Paralia, which will run from early June to early September 2023, with music, concerts, theatrical performances, and street artists’ events.

The 4th Summer Festival 2023, the celebration in the heart of Thessaloniki, presents 14 musical and 11 theatrical performances of high aesthetics, offering young and old, residents and visitors of the city, cool breaths of entertainment and fun in the evenings of summer 2023.

The 4th Summer Festival 2023 will last until Monday 4 September 2023.

The city’s summer festival, with the Garden Theatre as its focal point and aiming to showcase and host as many artists and creators as possible, offers 25 music, theatre and performance productions.

The programm combines the classical with the contemporary, nostalgia with the dynamism and energy of the young groups.

The 4th Summer Festival starts with the Symphonic Rock concert of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, on Friday 9 June 2023 at the Garden Theatre and will end with the Women’s Comedy Festival, a 4-hour stand-up comedy show on Friday 4 September 2023.

The programme also includes street artists and names representing all genres of music, from the domestic and international scene, as well as performances from contemporary and ancient theatre.

The 4th Summer Festival 2023, like last year’s edition, hosts street musicians and performers, who will tell the most beautiful stories in the open gardens of Nea Paralia.

This is the Buskers Festival, a European network that started in Ferrara, Italy and has grown to include major cities. It’s a cultural event, held annually in Edinburgh in Barcelona, New York and elsewhere.

In this context, music, dance, theatre, satire, pantomime, stand up comedy, performances create the most beautiful and cool images for the residents and visitors of Thessaloniki, in a multifaceted experience that will culminate in early autumn.
