The Italian Tenors «Candlelight Christmas»

True to their Christmas rendez vous with the audience of Thessaloniki, the Greek audience’s favorite “The Italian Tenors”, come for a performance with the show Candlelight Christmas, giving a romantic musical touch Under the Light of Candles, in the festive spirit of Christmas and New Year, the most beautiful season of the year, at the I.VELLIDIS Conference Center on Saturday, December 28th.

With them, their special guest, the well-known mezzo-soprano Cassandra Dimopoulou.

Three Italian tenors, Luca Sala, Bruno Almeida and Evans Tonon, who studied at the most renowned Music Academies and performed in the world’s greatest operas, created in 2012 an original project, presenting the most famous Italian songs, world pop hits and arias from the most famous operas, in a performance full of surprises. Each of their performances is an unforgettable experience for the audience, as the three Italian Tenors seek to interact with them with great humour.

A special note will be added by the appearance of their special guest Cassandra Dimopoulou, a well-known mezzo-soprano, originally from Thessaloniki, with appearances in international lyric stages and festivals and a notable collaboration with Placido Domingo and maestro Zubin Mehta for the television production of Rigoletto, which was broadcast live around the world.

From the classical sounds of Ennio Morricone, to the romantic Caruso of Lucio Dalla, Il Mondo or Con Te Partiro of Andrea Boccelli to the pop rhythms of Gloria, Mamma Mia, Hallelujah of Leonard Cohen and famous arias, they offer us a unique musical event that highlights the musical charm of Italy and the vocal power of the performers, which fascinates the audience.

The selected Christmas songs and romantic atmosphere under the festive light of hundreds of candles promise a warm and joyful evening in the spirit of the magic of Christmas and New Year!!!
