The Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki, housed in three historically and architecturally unique buildings, organizes and hosts permanent exhibitions displaying its collections, as well as, periodical ones in collaboration with other cultural institutions, museums, artists etc.
Casa Bianca, a preserved monument of contemporary architectural heritage, an ideal sample of early 20th century architectural eclecticism and one of the most beautiful city mansions, displays permanently the Nikolaos Gyzis collection, a donation by the painter’s family, as well as, the byzantine and post-byzantine icons collection from the cemetery temple of Evangelistria.
Alatza Imaret
An Ottoman period building, constructed in 1484 to operate as a mosque, a madrasa and a poorhouse.
Yeni Tzami
An Ottoman period monument, built in 1902 as a mosque for the local Jews who converted to Islam.
