Pieria means Olympus, the imposing mountain of Gods, also means culture and history, as evidenced by the sacred city of the Macedonians, the ancient Dion but it also means sun, sea and beautiful beaches for rest and relaxation! The clean beaches, some actually awarded with Blue Flag: Olympic Beach, Paralia, Kallithea, Kallithea / Mediterranean Village, Korinos, (rank 2015), stretching for 70 km., with sandy beaches interrupted by pebbles and pine groves and resulting in blue, calm waters. Sometimes small, embracing charming coves and sometimes large in length of many kilometers, have comforts for all tastes: excellent hotel infrastructure, from small family guesthouses to luxurious five-star hotels, sports facilities, taverns, cafes and bars, nightlife.
Try fresh fish and seafood at the picturesque taverns of the region … and give priority to the mussels, since Pieria has one of the largest mussel cultivation in Greece. Enjoy them in all their versions!
