It is the home ground of PAOK football team, one of the most significant and most popular among the Thessalonians, always playing a leading part at the Super League Greek championship. PAOK won the Greek Championship four times (1976-1985-2019-2024) and the Greek Cup eight times (1972-1974-2001-2003-2017-2017-2018-2019-2021).
Toumba Stadium was inaugurated in 1959, while major modifications took place ever since, including those of 2004, when a new four-storey building behind the main west stand was constructed. In Athens Olympics 2004 it was used as a training center.
Toumba Stadium has a capacity of 28.701 seats.
