Thousands of youths have been trained at the YMCA grounds since its inauguration in 1921 up until today. YMCA brought in, established and spread nationwide sports such as basketball, volleyball, ping-pong and judo.
Its facilities include the main stadium “Mimis Tsikinas”, for basketball, volleyball and handball training, as well as, the Taekwondo, Judo, Dance, Ping-Pong, Squash halls, the “Takis Taliadoros” field for basketball and volleyball located within the YMCA neo-classic building, an indoor swimming pool and outdoor football 5×5 fields and tennis courts.
YMCA currently offers nine sports departments, fifteen sports academies, the Basketball Museum, and a variety of art and social events, promoting the ideals of cultural and social contribution towards the young people of Thessaloniki.
