1st Thessaloniki Soloist Festival – Artistic Encounters at Monuments of Thessaloniki
The 1st Thessaloniki Soloist Festival, the new cultural proposal of the municipality of Thessaloniki, with artistic encounters at monuments and landmarks of the city, will take place in July 2024.
The 1st Thessaloniki Soloist Festival will feature classical, jazz, funky, ethnic, traditional music from Greece and Anatolia, concerts with rebetiko, art songs, world music, contemporary dance activities and an explosive night dedicated to brake dance.

The 1st Thessaloniki Soloist Festival, a new cultural event that promises to bring out the soul of Thessaloniki through the magic of music and dance.
July 2024 is a month of culture as during this month, the 1st Thessaloniki Soloist Festival – Artistic Encounters at Monuments and Landmarks of Thessaloniki will begin and end.
With events open to the public of the city and its visitors.
Through their unique venues, historical monuments and landmarks of the city, it is a journey through the history and contemporary culture of the city.
From the sculpture of the Umbrellas of Zongolopoulos – commemoration of Thessaloniki as European Capital of Culture in 1997, the highly symbolic, among other things, the statue of Alexander the Great, the theatre in the Garden of Seasons of Nea Paralia, the historic building of Islahane that tells stories of other times, the solemn Monastery of Vlatades in the Upper Town, the garden of the early 14th century church and Unesco monument, St. Nicholas of Orfanos, to the majestic atrium of the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, each location becomes the canvas on which the artists will create magical moments, but also the artists themselves will get new life from the space that hosts them.
With concerts of classical, jazz, funky, ethnic, traditional music from Greece and Anatolia, rebetiko, art music, world music, contemporary dance and an explosive evening of brake dance – the new sport that will make its debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Soloist offers a multidimensional experience of sounds, images, senses, in contact with the city, for all ages and moods.
