Christmas without magic is not possible.
A special Viennese Christmas flavour on the 30th of December, with music and dance that will transport us to Imperial Vienna.
The renowned and internationally acclaimed Vienna Schloss Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra (Vienna Schloss Schoenbrunn Orchester) together with the former Principal Soloists of the Vienna Opera Ballet, Irina Tsyymbal and Vladimir Shislov and the dance couples, will bring to the stage of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall all the charm of Imperial Vienna with the popular works of the great composers of that era, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Strauss Dynasty, Franz Lehar. Franz Franz Strauss, Wolfgang Wolfgang Strauss, Franz Franz Strauss, Franz Strauss, Franz Franz Strauss, etc.
The Orchestra attaches great importance to the Viennese style and the interpretation of the music they play, giving it a subtle and distinctive touch with their impeccable, very careful stage presence.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the concerts in the Schoenbrunn Palace, their daily performances have played a very important role in the cultural and musical life of Vienna. In addition to its concerts in this famous venue, the Vienna Schloss Schoenbrunn Orchestra has been making many international tours, with the aim of familiarising the public with the unique musical heritage of Imperial Austria, so that the rest of the world could also enjoy the great composers of that time. The audience reaction to all these concerts is always very enthusiastic.
The conductor of the orchestra, Vinicius Kattah, of Brazilian origin, is a permanent partner of the Schoenbrunn Orchestra, as well as the Vienna State Opera and the Konzerthaus. He was fortunate enough to apprentice under the renowned Maestro Helmut Rilling and is considered one of the most promising conductors of the new generation of orchestra conductors.
In addition to the rich musical tradition, dance was an integral, important part of the performances in the cultural life of the Golden Age in Vienna. The two renowned former First Soloists of the Vienna Opera will perform excerpts from the well-known Mozart ballets and Strauss waltzes. Iryna Tsymbal, born in Minsk, Belarus, Prima Ballerina of the Vienna Opera Ballet since 2005, has impressed with her performances in leading roles in ballets such as Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Sylphide, Carmen, The Nutcracker and Anna Karenina. Since last year she has been pursuing a solo career and teaching, as a graduate of the Bolshoi Academy. Vladimir Shishov, a graduate of the Vaganova Academy. First Soloist of the Vienna Opera Ballet since 2006, he is renowned for his impeccable technique and fine jumps. He has won accolades for his performances in Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, The Courser, The Nutcracker, and his role in Swan Lake, produced by the Nureejev Foundation at the Vienna Opera, has gone down in ballet history. The soloists are accompanied by the dance couples participating in the Gala of the annual New Year’s Eve Concert in Vienna.
