VorOina Christmas 2023: Music, treats and the best wines of Northern Greece

Christmas trees, colourful decorations, lights, music, treats and the best wines from the top wineries of Northern Greece.

The image of the “Christmas Bordeaux” that together with the bright smiles of the attendees, visitors and winemakers, weave the web of an event of quality, joy and especially humanity, since all proceeds from the entrance tickets will be donated to the Special High School of Kastoria.

It is an event that celebrates the branded quality Greek wine and will take place on Monday 11 December, 18:00-22:00, at the Electra Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki.

The “Christmas Wine Tasting” is a festive Christmas inspiration of the “Wineries of Northern Greece” to offer the public the opportunity to taste excellent wines from their cellars, old vintages, wines in large bottle sizes, experimental, unreleased or very limited labels, even some that are not available on the market.

Plus, small vertical tastings, one off reveals, interesting spirits and much, much more at the tables and in the bottles at the event.

The aim is for the public, consumers and professionals from the restaurant and wine trade, to meet, taste, enjoy and most importantly understand the wine wealth of some of the country’s top wineries, as viticulture and winemaking evolves into today.

The “Christmas Northinners” have been held since 2016, always with the same authentic and innovative style of their own, of exquisite, special and expensive wines, as well as wine spirits, and always in the spirit of the love of the holidays.

The proceeds, as it is customary every time from this event, are donated to a childcare institution. For this year, the Board of Directors of the association “Winemakers of Northern Greece” has decided that the amount of money collected from the visitors’ tickets will be donated entirely to the Single Vocational Special High School of Kastoria.

The Electra Palace Thessaloniki Hotel, which is hosting the event in its beautifully decorated for Christmas premises, overlooking the magical Aristotelous Square, is a partner, as it is every year, in this movement of giving and love.
