Green Cultural Routes

The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, participating again this year in the communication action of the Directorate of Archaeological Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programmes of the Ministry of Culture and Education “Green Cultural Routes”, organizes the following educational activities:

On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May the educational programme will take place:

The programme is addressed to students of 4th – 5th grades of primary schools and will give students the opportunity to get to know the golden wreaths of the AMTH. In the first part of the programme we will introduce the students to the golden wreaths exhibited in the museum, we will talk about how they are made, their uses and the plants that were their inspiration. In the second part of the program, we will follow a paper wreath making workshop.

On Saturday 27 May the training programme will take place: Golden wreaths, branches, leaves and flowers

The programme is aimed at people with disabilities and will give participants the opportunity to learn about the golden wreaths of the AMTH. In the first part of the programme we will present the golden wreaths exhibited in the museum, we will talk about how they are made, their uses and the plants that were their inspiration. In the second part of the program, we will follow a paper wreath making workshop.
