ThessFringe Festival

ThessFringe Festival is thrilled to announce its first-ever edition, taking place from May 25th to May 28th, featuring 14 exciting events and 3 workshops. The festival is a celebration of creativity, diversity, and culture, bringing together national and international artists from all the genres of the performing arts such as theater, circus, comedy, physical theater and children shows to present their talents and work in front of audiences, press and arts industry professionals.

The festival’s organizing team promises to make a splash in the cultural scene of Thessaloniki by providing a platform for rising and established talents to showcase their work. ThessFringe doesn’t have a curating body to provide the maximum artistic freedom and, as a member of the world fringe organization, connects Thessaloniki to the worldwide Fringe community.

In the 4-day program of the festival, artists and performances from all over the world are included, such as “Sisyphos: A Trial” by Marianthi Mota (Greece), a powerful and thought-provoking performance based on the mythology of Sisyphos, “DIDO” by Company RAu (Turkey), a visually stunning piece that explores the desire and frustration of human nature, “Bunny Bunny” by Nora Kelly Lester (Ireland), a solo red nose clown, challenging audiences’ perceptions of modern female identity. Last but not least, “Camgirl Chronicles” by madma productions (France & Colombia), a yet stunning and shocking performance about an artist’ insights in the online sex industry.

Three workshops led by experienced artists are rounding up the programme. The workshops
address beginners as well as professionals and will provide participants and artists with the
opportunity to learn new skills and to collaborate.
