Lighting of the Trees in the Neighbourhoods of Kalamaria

The month of celebrations is just around the corner and the Municipality of Kalamaria is preparing to light up the city by lighting a tree in every neighborhood.

The first tree will be lit on Wednesday, December 4, at 7 p.m. in Votsi. The event will include Christmas carols and a folk program with the orchestra of the “Admiral Votsi” Association, while the menu includes traditional bean soup and good wine.

Next up on Friday, December 6, at 6.30 p.m. Kifissia will welcome the holidays in the Park of the area, which will be flooded with festive melodies by the Choir of the Cultural & Recreational Association of Kalamaria “Kifissia”, followed by a rock night with the music band “The Towers”. During the event, treats and mulled wine will be offered.

The baton will be passed to Nea Krini on December 7 (18:30). The tree will be lit in St. Lykoudis-Polyvios in an event with the traditional music orchestra of Yannis Volikas and the sections of the Cultural & Educational Association of N.Krini “Bouboulina” in the dance.

On 11 December it is the turn of Finikas, which will light its own tree with music, namely the traditional music orchestra of Yannis Volikas, while the members of the Cultural and Recreational Association of Phoenix will drag the dance.

With the neighborhoods of Kalamaria in the colors and lights of the celebration, the baton will be passed to the Refugee Hellenism Square in the city center.
