A few words from the creators
“Pavsilypou and Tυροlois corner”

Dimitris lives there in an apartment building. His parents, like all parents, wanted the best for him. They thought the best was something close to the phrase “We don’t bother, they don’t bother us”. And so they slowly moved away. They even moved away from their neighbors on the corner of Pausilipou and Tyrolois. But two songs and the truth of the children will change everything! And everyone! Maybe even us…

Six songs can be heard: A kiss is a little (cover), The bicycle, Above the clouds, Be with me child, There are hands, Where there is love.

And two original songs, one written by the group of the 1st EEEEK Thessaloniki entitled “I want to go on an excursion”, and one written by the Open School Days group entitled “So close”. .

The performance is followed by a 12-minute video recording the personal moments of the children’s journey until 18 May.

The musical group “2 first hours” will participate.

First Hours is a beginning. For those who are closer to the school experience it is almost self-evidently the start of the school day. It was at such a beginning that two groups decided to meet. And our first rehearsals did indeed take place in the first two hours. So the start of two groups is our shape, a beginning to rediscover the power of music to unite. The power of music to inspire the “together” of those who, as a society, have become accustomed to staying apart. The beginning of the first student inclusive choir with children from the 1st EEEEK of Thessaloniki and from the Open School Days group of the 28th High School of Thessaloniki.

The idea started humanly, from a relationship between neighbours. The two schools are 900 meters apart. People who walk on the same streets and see common images every day, why not sing together? So we sing and we wait for others …for their own first 2 hours in this life lesson.
