Thomas Moschopoulos, one of the most creative and innovative artists of his generation, director, writer, translator, collaborates again with the Theatre of Macedonian Studies, signing the text and directing the new play, which will be presented at the Theatre of the Company of Macedonian Studies, in a national premiere. Premiere: Saturday 17|05|2025 Two Delphins, Casimir and Philidor, await the decision on which of them will become the future king. Impatient, insecure and authoritarian Kazimir. Clever, kind and benevolent Fildor. Or is it not? Between them, a servant, responsible for their safety, takes care of the whole waiting process at the same time. But how does the waiting work when the big clock gives wrong messages about time? When will the big decision arrive and which of the two Delphins is suitable for the throne? Thomas Moschopoulos addresses the issues of power and competition in a text that converses openly with Beckett, both in terms of writing and content. In a claustrophobic environment where the element of threat is inherent, we are constantly waiting for something to happen, while the characters converse while struggling to communicate. A communication that is sabotaged by word games and comic rhymes in a constant struggle for imposition and … survival. The struggle for power gradually turns into an existential agony, while the two Delphins are on a path of decline and fall.
