Built in the late 13th century as the catholicon of Panagia Perivleptou Monastery, also known as Mr. Isaac’s Monastery named by its founder, Jacob, the bishop of Thessaloniki, known as monk Isaac. In the mid 16th century, the church was turned into a mosque, whose minaret base is still preserved.
