Kalamaria: In the Municipality of Kalamaria the events start from “Tsiknopempti” and they have a more traditional attitude as there is a cooperation with local cultural Associations and folklore dance clubs.
Thermi: Carnival days at the Municipality of Thermi are full of parties, carelessness, joy and dance, as well as, traditional customs with folkloric interest. There are also many carnival events at Mediterranean Cosmos for both adults and children, where you can have fun, take a walk and shop.
Pavlos Melas: Once more, the events aim for a big party for both adults and children with many activities at the Municipal Communities of Stavroupoli, Polichni and Efkarpia, where everybody is invited.
Neapoli – Sikies: The Municipality of Neapoli-Sikies starts dynamically with events that are full of big crowds, music, dance, barbecue and many activities for children, giving the opportunity to both adults and children to experience unique moments of joy.
Ampelokipoi – Menemeni: This Municipality organizes a full programme of events at all municipal communities.
Oreokastro: For the past 7-8 years, Municipality of Oreokastro organizes a big carnival parade on Carnival Sunday.
Pilaia – Chortiati: All this area is known as a meeting point “outside the Walls of Thessaloniki” of citizens and friends who want to celebrate the three-day celebration of the Carnival (until Clean Monday), through participating in a traditional party of high quality. Each year, the events are held in a different municipal area.
Every year more and more Municipalities of Thessaloniki organize carnival events and Clean Monday celebrations for the “Koulouma” with the old tradition of flying a kite.
