The last weekend of August, one of the most important archaeological sites of Thessaloniki, the Roman Agora, is getting full of tablecloths and small baskets for a unique urban picnic! Residents and visitors can enjoy concerts, film screenings and experience the archeological site in a different way, by integrating it into modern daily life of the city. The festival program includes performances by musical groups, distinguished short films (in collaboration with major film festivals) and films in a specially designed open air cinema. The festival has been awarded with the EFFE mark, of the European Festival Association, which aims to recognize the European festivals that help promote art, local communities and Europe. More here
