The touristic package “Thessaloniki-Halkidiki” is now part of the planning of the Polish Tour Operators, as it was shown by the 1st Fam Trip, which was organized by Thessaloniki Tourism Organization in collaboration with Halkidiki Tourism Organization and the GNTO office in Poland.
Two Polish Tour Operators, representing Thomas Cook and Grecos Holiday traveled to Thessaloniki and Halkidiki, where they made contacts, they were toured around and were informed about the touristic infrastructures and services of the two places, having as an aim integrating more products into their next-year programs.
In Thessaloniki, the Tourism Organization planned for this Fam Trip a special route and tour, showing the UNESCO monuments of the town. Some of the places they visited and the experiences they had were: the Church of Acheiropoietos, Church of Aghia Sophia, Rotunda, Vlatadon Monastery, Church of Aghios Demetrius, but also the Roman Market, the Palace of the Roman Caesar Gaius Valerius Galerius Maximianus, the promenade of the Municipality of Thermaikos, hotels and wineries, as well as the gastronomy of Thessaloniki.
