Thessaloniki Tourism Organisation took part in the Virtual Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2020 that was held from the 25th to the 27th of November, focusing on the Belgian market.
The workshop offered a platform for tourism companies and public bodies to promote their alternative and gastronomy tourism services and products, as well as for Organizatons and TOs that seek to enter or strengthen their presence in key European markets.
A total of 80 Belgian travel agents and 30 distinguished Belgian journalists participated in the online event.
Thessaloniki Tourism Organization participated in the workshop by holding a series of B2B online meetings with travel agents. They presented the unique and competitive identity of the destination “Thessaloniki” using the undoubted trump card of gastronomy as well as the many forms of alternative tourism that can be attractive advantages of the city for Belgian tourists.
At the end of the online event, a raffle draw was held for the Greek participants and Thessaloniki Tourism Organization offered a three-day stay in the city provided by the Capsis Bristol Boutique Hotel.
