Beautiful City” -100 Years of Mikis Theodorakis

On the occasion of “100 Years of Mikis Theodorakis” George Valaris presents the legendary performance “Omorfi Stadt” in Thessaloniki on the stage of the Earth Theatre. The performance participates in the events of the Forest Festival 2025, organized by the Theatre of Greek Theatre. By decision of the Ministry of Culture, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mikis Theodorakis and the musical and theatrical performance “New Beautiful City” will make a world tour in honour of the great Greek composer. The Beautiful City, which we will enjoy in Thessaloniki, includes the poetic texts of Miki Theodorakis as well as prose texts by Giorgos Valaris. This performance honours our late composer on the occasion of the “Year of Miki Theodorakis”, which has been officially declared by the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth.
