Greek salad with balsamic vinegar (Horiatiki)


    Greek salad with balsamic vinegar (Horiatiki Salata with Xidi Valsamiko)

    2 tomatoes

    1 cucumber

    1 medium sized onion

    2 spring onions

    1 green pepper

    8 black olives

    1 tbsp capers

    1 slice feta cheese cut in cubes

    ½ bunch of parsley finely chopped

    1 tender head romaine lettuce


    1/3 cup olive oil

    2 tbsp balsamic vinegar


    Wash the vegetables. Slice the tomatoes. Cut the cucumber, onions and pepper in half rings.

    Soak the onion in salted water. Rub well and drain it.

    In a large bowl place the lettuce, combine the rest of the ingredients, salt and stir.

    Serves 4
